RSA 7.1 Bites Me Again
I've got a pile of work to do with RSA coming up over the next six weeks. I'll be pretty much living and breathing the product in a project that will probably take me to Berlin, New York and London. It's an upgrade project so I thought I'd set up a sample environment and work through the process (yet again) as a bit of a practice. Any regular readers would know that I have fought with RSA 7.1 before. And I'm fighting it again today.
RSA 7.1: Virtually Painful
Over the last few months, I've implemented a number of instances of RSA SecurID Authentication Manager for several clients. This is nothing new for me - in fact, I've been working with SecurID since version 2.1, which is way before RSA bought the product from Security Dynamics. What is new is my disappointment with the latest incarnation of the product in version 7.1. It's too heavy and doesn't work properly in a virtual environment.
