Learning to Hack (legally)...
So, last year, the lovely Daemonchild suggested that it might be entertaining for me to be able to code/hack/do something that isn't flying, so that a) I'd have an extra transferable skill, b) we could, in future, do some work together and c) I'd stop asking him so many bloody questions! In his defence at the latter, I'm not so sure he's used to having an intelligent other (better?!) half so it must take some getting used to ;-)
Anyhow, a little work was done but, now 2012 is upon us, I've decided to really get my teeth into this challenge. Along with running 10k, doing another 1/4 of my degree, getting a better job etc, but what the hell - one more won't hurt! As it stands, last November, I managed to use terminal to install/set up some bits on our new server and was very proud of this fact. I also had a bit of a play about on hackthissite to really try and start thinking like an (ethical) hacker. This is, however, as far as we've got so far.
Watch this space: you never know, you might have some kind of evil genius on your hands!
